Do you find yourself standing in front of your closet shaking your head thinking, I need to organize my closet? Do you find yourself staring at old board games? Maybe you have clothes in there that you have not worn in years. Then there is the worst case, if you open the door will a pile of "stuff" fall on top of you? There are many different ways to go about closet organizing but I am going to give you a few quick tips in case you don't even know where to start.
Plan Your Time Accordingly.

Don't just dive into this project with a few moments to spare. Give yourself enough time to finish the job. If you just start on a "organize my closet" whim and never complete it then you will be worse off than when you started.
Get Your Supplies In Order.
Make sure you have researched some closet ideas and you have a final goal in mind. Have enough trash bags on hand to get rid of unwanted items. Once it's in the bag it does not come out! Make sure you have any organization tools you plan on using on hand already. This might include some storage containers, shoe racks and different closet shelves. There are many different types of closet organization systems out there that you might want to check out as well.
Don't Be Afraid To Get Rid Of Things.
We do we insist on keeping the silliest things? You know you will never wear that sweater again and honestly you are probably amazed you ever wore it in the first place! Get rid of all this stuff. Start a separate bag for unwanted clothing and keep it on the side. This way you can then donate this stuff to a Goodwill or Salvation Army. There are always organizations looking for clothing for less fortunate people so help out at the same time!
Once I decided to organize my closet I was on a rampage until I got it done. It is a great feeling once you step back and look at all your hard work.
